My hubby and I love going to the movies! There is just something about pushing “pause” on life, snuggling up under a cozy blanket in a big recliner, while watching a movie on the big screen!
Well, this weekend hubby and I went to the movies for the first time in over a year, since the start of the pandemic! I was SO EXCITED!
Seeing a movie and then dining at our favorite restaurant brought me much needed relaxation and…. FUN!
I was reminded this weekend how much fun and play are such a huge piece of the self-care pie – and how much I have missed many things I took for granted.
Like most aspects of self-care, experiencing fun, more often than not, requires intentionality. Instead of just “having fun”, I believe in creating fun.
However, with so many demands on our time from work, family, kids, household responsibilities, sometimes fun sits on the back burner for the “if I have time” slot.
But experiencing fun isn’t limited only to big events. Life is made up of little moments. Creating fun in those little moments is a “game changer” (pun intended) and is like medicine for our emotional and mental health!
So this week’s Live @ 1:05 I will share tips on how to create fun in your daily life, in the small things, which can result in a big thing – a life you love to live!
